A few days ago, I got a new haircut, and since then, have been drawn to more feminine and classic pieces. Today, I felt like wearing my favorite little black dress. I love this dress because of its length, silhouette, and the floral detailing along the neckline. I kept things simple by pairing my dress with Chanel flats and a pearl bracelet.

• For our dinner party last night, my sister and I made my favorite chocolate chip cookies. They were moist, soft, and slightly sweet, and they perfectly complemented the coffee oreo icecream we had. We had a delightful time making our own icecream sandwiches!

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
  
  
  1 teaspoon baking soda
  
  
  1 teaspoon salt
  
  
  2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, room temperature
  
  
  1 cup granulated sugar
  
  
  1/2 cup packed dark-brown sugar
  
  
  2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  
  
  1 large whole egg, plus 1 large egg white
  
  
  12 oz. semisweet chocolate chunks (about 2 cups)

My favorite trend this season by far has been the peter pan collar. My polyvore set features a blouse and skirt combo with a rhinestone peter pan collar necklace. I love this necklace because it's not brightly colored or overwhelmingly bejeweled with sequins. It's simple and refined and adds just the right amount of glamour to the outfit.

In light of Restaurant Week, my friends and I made a reservation at Sandrine's, a French bistro in Harvard Square. As we walked in, a waiter greeted us with a charming French accent, and he seated us at a cozy booth near the back. I was entranced by the luxurious atmosphere and interior decoration -- I was immediately transported to Paris. When the waiter came back, I ordered the roasted red pepper and tomato gazpacho and the lobster roll, and he answered "tres bien mademoiselle," which made me smile. My sister ordered the lobster roll as well as the best salad I've ever eaten. It was garnished with red grapes, roasted almonds, and a light vinaigrette. I also enjoyed the lobster roll, which was rich and creamy. We engaged in conversation as we savored our entrees. All in all, I had a lovely time!

Sometimes, I wake up feeling like a free spirit wanting to channel her inner bohemian. On those days, I pick out an outfit consisting of a flowy blouse and matching skirt. I felt a little daring today, so I wore a floral dress with an orange headband of a different print. I love orange because it’s a great color for transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall. It’s bright enough for the lazy days of summer, but its rich hue makes it the perfect match for fall.

Nowadays, my go-to outfit is a long sleeved button-down with a pair of tailored shorts or an a-line skirt and ballet flats. It’s an outfit that’s polished without being too overdone. I paired my outfit with my new sunglasses, which are different from any pair I've owned so far. I am in love with their oval frames and retro vibe!

I absolutely love the all-white trend. Its simplicity and elegance is a breathtaking, and its versatility is evident, as it can be worn many ways -- from casual cool to white tie formal. In this Polyvore set, I featured a white blouse and pleated shorts and styled it with brown sandals and a floral scarf for a subtle pop of color.

Last week, we ordered new clothes from Forever 21, and they finally arrived yesterday! The first thing I wanted to try on was this polka dot print blouse. I am in love with this print, not only because of its versatility, but also because there's something so fresh and youthful about it. It's one of my favorite trends this season, and after summer winds down to a close, I'll make sure to incorporate polka dots into my fall wardrobe.
